Spring 2009 Update
Congratulations to Up In Smoke for winning the 2008 Fall Season Championship Tournament and to the Ladykillers for winning the 2008 Fall Best of the Worst.
We will start back up on January 7 at 6:30 with open play for everyone. Both January 7 and 14 will be open play days. If your team is returning, I will need rosters for the upcoming season by January 14. I do not assume you are playing, so please reserve your spot as soon as possible.
The Spring 2009 Season will start on January 21. Fees are $50/player and will be due no later than January 28th. Cash and checks (made out to "Memphis Dodgeball") are accepted.
I have amended some rules and added other. Please familiarize yourself with them.

The Championship Tournament will begin this wednesday (12/10) and finish the following week on 12/17.
The Best of the Worst will be held on 12/17.

Dodgeball 12/3
I apologize for the lack of dodgeball today/Wednesday.
I was not informed that the center would be closed ahead of time. I showed up at 5:45 and all the lights were off and no one was home. I stayed for over an hour before I gave up. I guess they simply forgot what day it was.
We will end the season with the standings as they are. The tournament will begin next week. Look for the tournament schedule shortly.

Final Week of the Season - Dec 3
The final week of regular season play is this wednesday.
We will have 2 weeks of tournament play starting December 10. There will be 2 tournaments - the Championship Tournament and the Best of the Worst Tournament.
Unfortunately, the bottom team in the league - the winless Average Joes - are too bad to be in the worst tournament. There are several teams on the bubble - Deez Nuts, Ladykillers, Moneyshot and Dodgeball Ninja Commando Team. One of these four teams will be dropped to the BotW tournament.

Congrats to Hit for Brains for winning the UofMSU tournament last thursday. Second place went to the all star team -"The Awesome Nut Shot Commandos" (comprised of team awesome, deez nuts, moneyshot and the dodgeball ninjas).
The Dodgeball Ninja Commando team took second in the coed division one day after their 3-1 trouncing of the previously undefeated Up In Smoke.

Standings posted / tourney update
Standings have been updated. Up in Smoke is still undefeated and needs to lose. Somebody please step up to the task and put them out of their misery.
We have 3 teams in the UofMSU tournament. Each team has 5 people. If there are 3 people who would like to join (to give us 6/team), please let me know.

Indoor Soccer
If anyone is interested in playing indoor soccer this winter, let me know. I'm in the mood to play and would rather build a team of people I know than join a bunch of weirdos.
The season goes from the week of December 15 - February 20. I will make sure that those games do not conflict with our wednesday nights.
It's a 7v7 league and the minimum is 10 players (max 15).

Week 4 Standings and Update
Week 4 standings have been posted and can be found through the link on the right.
The UofM tournament is fast approaching and it's time to collect money. Several teams expressed interest in playing. If you would like me to handle your registration, please bring your money this week. It's $10/person and I will happily collect it and deliver it to the college.
If you do not bring the money on wednesday, it is up to you to handle it. The deadline is Monday, November 10th. You can download the registration form here.
